Two key words to think about: Hunger and Fear

We all agree that we are living in changing times, particularly when it comes to digital communications. Social media, cloud computing, mobile internet, data protection and virtual reality are now becoming commonplace in the corporate environment.

Yet the vast majority of organisations - both small and large - stubbornly cling onto old ways of doing things. It's human nature at the end of the day. Most of us simply don't like change - specially when it is as paradigm-shifting as the technological one we're experiencing now.

It all comes down to two words for me - Hunger and Fear. If your organisation is either hungry for success/growth or fearful of the road ahead, it will have the impetus to change. Without these, the tendency will always be to stick to the status quo.

With DNAsix®, we're always looking to work with hungry or fearful organisations because they're willing to make the major changes - and indeed the difficult decisions - needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.

And this hunger or fear needs to be driven from the top. Depending on the size of the business it could be anything from a sole trader reviewing their company right up to a Senior Management Team or Board of Directors running a large organisation.
