DNAsix Director David Taylor has been asked to be the Digital Futures lead consultant for the skillslabs programme. Skillslab (http://www.skillslabs.co.uk/) is all about developing skills and training for businesses in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The first part of this program is focused on business informing education in three industry sectors:
- Digital Futures
- Marine Technology
- Net Zero
In order to gain feedback from these key industry sectors, Skillslab is reaching out to businesses across this geographical area.
Businesses will be personally briefed by the CEO of FarehamCollege Andrew Kaye and the Director of Business Centres Beverley Poole prior to being invited to complete a questionnaire. This questionnaire is designed specifically per industry to provide insight as to the training and skills needs of the future.
Business owners and representatives will also be invited totake part in an industry specific event hosted at Fareham College. These events will be attended by a number of professional partners including the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and will provide an opportunity to understand the project fully and discuss needs as a specialist group of business leaders.
